Fees, Training & Background:

Mr Park is a highly qualified Consultant Ophthalmologist and currently the Lead Vitreoretinal Surgeon at the University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust. He is also an honorary Consultant Surgeon at the Birmingham & Midland Eye Centre.

Mr Park studied Medicine at St Andrews University Medical School and the University of Manchester; graduated with BSc (Med Sci) in 2003, followed by MB ChB in 2006. As a medical student at Manchester University, he was awarded the prestigious Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health Medical Student Prize.

His House Officerships were served at the University Hospitals in Birmingham and this was followed by run-through specialty training in Ophthalmology at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital.

After the Completion of Specialist Training (CCT) in Ophthalmology, he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth) and the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBO) in 2015.

Mr Park then completed additional 3 years of Surgical Retina training with advanced post-CCT Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellowships at Manchester University NHS Trust and Imperial College London NHS Trust.

Mr Park’s surgical expertise encompasses all aspects of Cataract and Retinal surgery, and he is known for providing patients with safe, effective, and minimally invasive treatment for comprehensive eye conditions.

Mr Park is a keen educator and researcher, who is heavily involved in teaching for Medical students, Ophthalmology trainees, and Optometrists. He is currently an honorary Clinical Lecturer at the Warwick Medical School, University of Warwick.

Mr Park is a peer reviewer for the Journal of Cataract & Refractive Surgery, has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and given numerous national and international presentations.
