Highly recommended!
This is a very interesting book and would recommend it to all boxing fans. Not only does it provide insight into one of boxings great trainers but it also provides insight into the involvement of organized crime at that time. It shows that it didn't matter how great a boxer you were if you didn't cooperate with the crime families you didn't get a fight

A rare glimpse into Cus's life. An otherwise secret man. The more recent discussions involve Tyson. But this book was a lot of pre Tyson. Great book.

I enjoyed "Confusing the Enemy", i had been looking for books that talk about the early life and background of Cus. He was a mysterious man for many reasons, but produced 3 World Champions. You also get some good hard to find information on Floyd Patterson and Sonny Liston. This man had a front row seat during the golden era of boxing, and made an impression on everyone he encountered.
